Yotel Singapore is located in the heart of the shopping district at the intersection of Orchard and Scotts Roads. With stylish design and a focus on technology driving the customer experience, I was keen to see how the hotel stacked up.

Check In
Guests check themselves in using a kiosk, similar to how many people now check in for flights at the airport. The process was seamless and I had my keycard in hand within a couple of minutes.
There were a couple of staff members observing the check in process and stepped in to help guests if they ran into any difficulties. The lobby is also where Mission Control, otherwise known as Reception, is located.
You are also given a receipt with your room number and key details about the hotel.
The lifts were fast and I never had too much of a wait despite there being over 600 rooms in this hotel.
Yotel Singapore Premium Queen
My first impressions of the Premium Queen cabin was of light and space due to the high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows. While the concept is similar to the YotelAir at Jewel Changi Airport, having natural light makes a world of difference.
The bed itself is set up for day use as a very comfortable recliner, and converts into a comfortable flat bed at night.
For a small room, there was plenty of hanging space with an open wardrobe and additional fold out hooks on the wall if needed. All the amenities you would expect were present including a safe, tea and coffee making facilities and even an ironing board.
The desk folds out from the wall, with a foldable seat that is stored under the tea and coffee area.
With floor to ceiling windows, the bathrooms are light filled and my room came with a view out over the neighbouring office buildings. There are blackout blinds that can be lowered to preserve one’s modesty.
The rainshower was as good as you would find at a top hotel with amenities provided in pump packs.
Yotel Singapore Pool
Unlike most accommodations in this category, the Yotel Singapore has a very nice outdoor pool that’s excellent for swimming laps. There was also a gym available, though it was quite busy when I popped my head in so no photos.
Yotel Singapore Location
Unbeatable. Set back from Orchard Road, pedestrian access is via a clearly marked laneway. In the photo below you can see the iconic Chinese styling of Tang’s Department Store in the background.
Access to the MRT is a few minutes walk via a series of air conditioned underpasses to ION Orchard.
Car access is from Claymore Road with my taxi able to drop me right in front of the lobby.
Bottom Line
Yotel Singapore offers a stylish modern room with an excellent location at an affordable price point. A lap pool and gym round out a quality offering that I’d be happy to return to in future.
