The imaginatively named Airport Business Lounge acts as the main lounge for a number of airlines at Moscow Domodedovo International Airport DME. It covers Star Alliance, Oneworld, Emirates, Etihad, El Al and other second tier airlines It is a no frills, large, clean lounge with a good array of snacks and food. Conveniently located near the main gates and easy to find by following the airport business lounge sign.
Located up a corridor next to a tourist shop where you can buy kitsch T-shirts featuring Putin or Gagarin, Russian dolls or mini kremlins.
It is open 24 hours a day unlike the British Airways Lounge next door.
For Oneworld passenger the BA lounge is located next door, however it has more limited hours. Only being open for seven hours a day from 02:40 to 05:40 and again at 12:40 to 16:45.
We were on flight SQ 232 between Singapore and Stockholm which has a one hour layover in Moscow. Business customers are given an invitation to the lounge after disembarkation. When you get off the plane you will need to have your bags checked and go through a body scanner to access the terminal. You then head up some stairs to the lounge.

Seating and views
The lounge is quite big with both open space and quiet areas. There were a number of four person private cabins for additional privacy.
At the end of the lounge you could look out to the tarmac. However at 6am on a wet winters morning there was nothing to see.
Showers and toilets
The toilet facilities were in good order. There were two ladies who hovered around cleaning them after virtually every visit. In fact I had one there during my visit, she kindly showed me how to use the paper dispenser. However with only two toilet cubicles each in the males and females it might get problematic during busy hours.
They had just one shower which was occupied when we arrived. I poked my head in and there were no towels.
Hot and Cold food were available
Having arrived at 630am they were just starting to set up the food options. What I liked about the lounge was the local Russian treats from unusual pastries to cherry juice. Having just got off a 10 hour flight from Singapore we were not hungry.
There was an assortment of sandwiches, fresh salmon, fresh fruit and toast making facilities. There were also some chocolates and Russian candy.
I decided to have a simple milk porridge with wild berries and condensed milk. A Russian twist on my favourite breakfast dishes.
Wifi and power outlets
While they had free wifi you needed to register by either receiving an sms or a phone call. Not a big deal.
There were plenty of European style power outlets but we could not find any USB outlets.
Children’s facilities
There was also a soundproof children’s facility that could be watched from the lounge. Its strategically located between the snacks and toilets which should make parents happy.
Business Facilities
A small business area with workstations and power is available if needed.
Summary
This was my second visit to the lounge. Moscow airport is utilitarian so going to the lounge is a good option. It has everything you want for a quick visit but not the sort of lounge to spend an afternoon in.
